Anyways, the list looks like this: Big Ben, Tim Tebow, Terrell Owens, Michael Vick, and James Harrison. Two Steelers, a God loving backup qb, a guy who doesn't even play in the NFL anymore, and a convicted felon. Great list bitch.
Not going to lie, I for one am not surprised to see Harrison or Big Ben on there. Even people in Pittsburgh hate Roethlisberger, mostly because they're stupid. Roethlisberger is an elite quarterback who got accused of rape once and sexual assault one other time. Roethlisberger was never charged or convicted of a crime. Hell, Roethlisberger wasn't even arrested.
Harrison has been extremely outspoken about the commissioner, Roger Goodell, even going as far as to calling him gay slurs and saying that he wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Harrison has been fined a lot of money for late/illegal hits, and was once accused of assaulting his girlfriend. Harrison also took this picture which just defines his reputation.
Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers - Roethlisberger, the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been accused of sexual assault, though no chargers were ever filed, and rape. The rape case was settled, yet the specifics of the settlement have never been made public. The NFL suspended Roethlisberger based on violating its personal conduct policy. While many people can agree that Big Ben is a pretty good quarterback, the consensus also seems to be that he's not such a great guy.
James Harrison, Pittsburgh Steelers - Harrison plays the game in a brutal way that gives football a bad name. He has been fined and suspended for illegal hits time and time again, and offers no apologies. Harrison has made it clear that is how he plays and will continue to play, crushing quarterbacks with concussions that leave them on the sidelines for weeks on end, and who knows what other ill effects as they age.
This is piece by Lisa Stewart is seriously considered "journalsim". Thanks Lisa for making us bloggers look more and more official because if this is real journalism then journalism is fucking dead.
As for the list itself, again no merit or criteria but not sure how T.O. made it. Last time I checked he wasn't even in the league.

Come on. The Yahoo Contributor Network isn't Yahoo Sports. It's just like Bleacher Report and other blogs like yours and mine. Journalism isn't dead. Newspapers are in financial trouble, but people aren't suddenly deciding that they no longer have a need for news.
ReplyDeleteThanks for an actual comment that an adult would produce. Also thanks for reading Buck. Most of this was for entertainment reasons. Exaggeration and overreaction. Just was pissed when I read it.
ReplyDeleteThis guy doesn't get any publicity for the GOOD things he does. This week, Big Ben, through his foundation, gave his hometown (Findlay, Ohio) $12,000 to purchase a K-9 police dog to replace the one they are retiring, who was also a 'gift' from Big Ben. Let's give credit when & where credit is due. GO STEELERS & THANK YOU, Ben for not forgetting your roots!!!
