Whether you're looking for somewhere to take the kids or a night on the town look no further than PNC Park. Widely considered the best stadium in baseball, PNC Park is a great place for people of all ages. Wheter your a fan of baseball or not, it's hard to leave the ballgame without a smile on your face. From concerts to fireworks, a night at the ballgame can be a joyous event.
Ticket prices are certainly reasonable and a family of four can enjoy the evening for less than a full tank of gas nowadays.
Sunday's are kids day at PNC Park and there's no shortage of activities for the young ones. Hours before first pitch you can bring the family down and listen to live music while the children play the numerous games set up outside of the stadium. When entering the game a souvenir will be given to each kid under 12 and will brighten their day from the start. Throughout the game the kids will get their chance to meet the Pirate Parrot and have their photos taken alongside. Priceless memories for every kid growing up, it doesn't stop there.
After the ballgame the field is open to all kids for the chance to feel like a big leaguer and run the basepads. With face-painting stands and cotton candy everywhere, there's no shortage of things for the kids to do. All of these amenities are included with your ticket purchase(minus the cotton candy), but nothing is better than seeing the wide smiles on all the kid's faces.
A Pirates game isn't just for the kids either. The Parking lot will be lined with tailgaters every night with fans trying to enjoy the game the Pittsburgh way, drinking beer. Most tailgaters are open and friendly and it's hard to not make friends at a tailgate.
The party doesn't have to stop there as the Hall of Fame club is open to all ticket holders before, during and after the game. If you spend a little extra money the club seats offer a full service bar at all points during the game with air conditioned bars to cool off on a hot summer day. Don't be surprised to run into former Bucs willing to sign autographs and take pictures inside the club as well.
On certain Saturday's the Pirates offer skyblast and concert nights. After the game fireworks are shot out over the beautiful Pittsburgh skyline to the amazement of everyone in attendance. Bands such as Boyz II Men, Styx or the singer Daughtry offer great concert packages after the ballgame. All of this is included in the ticket price as well.
There is even a dog day at the park. Ever feel bad about leaving your dog at home while at the ballgame? Don't feel bad anymore. Certain games during the season you can bring your buddy down to the ballpark and enjoy a spacious dog park on the River Walk. And if you don't like dogs then don't worry, there is a designated area for the pets to enjoy the game so that you can easily avoid them.
These are just a few of the countless things to do at PNC Park. And even if the Pirates aren't winning you will enjoy the game just as well. So take the kids down to the park and give them the memories that they will never forget.

I don't know how many more Daughtry concerts my parents will let me go to. (uh oh) So I might wait till they're headlining when Daughtry tickets are cheaper and I have a better chance of meeting them. Although, Daughtry's not bad either. I don't know, we'll see how it goes
