Big Ben getting more respect than Tom Brady?

Big Ben more popular with players than Tom Brady?


After all the trash talk that has went on during the playoffs this year, I’ve noticed a few things…  For one, there is no way that Jets cornerback, Antonio Cromartie, has an IQ above 85, and also, it seems as if the players around the NFL tend to respect Ben Roethlisberger more than the “golden” Tom Brady.

We all remember what T-Sizzle said about Brady last week on Sirius XM, just day’s prior to the game against the Steelers.  Suggs talked about how Brady’s rings were “tainted”, or very “questionable” to say the least.  When asked about Roethlisberger, who is not only the quarterback of his bitter rival, but was his opponent that week, he expressed nothing but respect for him.

That same week, Antonio Cromartie not only mocked Tom Brady for having only one child out of wedlock, but also called him an “asshole”, something that the press made a huge deal about.

However, when asked about Roethlisberger, his opponent this week, Cromartie simply said, “I love Ben”.  Ben responded by expressing his love as well.

Funny, how even after all of Ben’s off the field issues, guys still tend to like him better than the media’s favorite, Tom Brady. Every time Brady loses in the playoffs, everybody takes time out of their day to insult him.  On Monday, ESPN’s Brian Kenny took 20 minutes out of his show to personally rip on Brady.

Maybe Suggs and Cromartie’s comments about Big Ben were attempts to somewhat “throw him off task”, but I doubt it.  Maybe Tom Brady really is just an asshole.
