John Clayton ranks Big Ben Roethlisberger as the 4th best qb in the NFL

John Clayton of ESPN just ranked all of the quarterbacks in the NFL. This was not a fantasy football ranking system, because only morons judge players on what they do in fantasy football. You can see the entire list here.

This is how Clayton describes eltie qbs:
•  Elite Division: These quarterbacks complete better than 60 percent of their passes, have 4,000-yard passing potential and fourth-quarter comeback ability. These players can carry a team to the playoffs.

This is what he says about Ben.
4. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
Analysis: Roethlisberger grew up as a person after starting the season with a four-game suspension and remained every bit as good as a quarterback. The only knock is his tendency to have low-scoring games against top defenses.
It's about time Ben gets the respect he deserves. Ben is a top 5 qb in the NFL. Yes he plays on a good team and has a good defense. The Steelers have had many teams with elite defenses and running games pre-Ben, yet they never won a Super Bowl. Ben put the Steelers over the top. Ben took the Steelers from contenders to champions.

Roethlisberger finished the year with the 5th best qb rating, 6th in yards per game, and had a fantastic touchdown to interception ratio(17-5), in just 12 games played.

Ben is one of the ten highest rated passers of all-time and is also in the top 10 for career ypa. With another Super Bowl ring, Ben will pretty much lock up a position in the Hall of Fame after his career is over.
