Ben Roethlisberger most disliked player in Super Bowl XLV

Chris Chase of yahoo sports has a story today that says that Ben Roethlisberger is the most disliked player in Super Bowl XLV.

This doesn't surprise me one bit. Roethlisberger is not only hated nation wide, but is disliked by many in the city of Pittsburgh, the city that he helped bring two rings to. I know a lot of Steeler fans that dislike Big Ben. Most of them are just "haters" and the rest of them are just morons.

When you ask someone why they dislike Ben you can generic answers like "he's not a nice guy" and "he gets too much credit". Most of these yinzers have never met Ben other than they might have served him food. These people are morons and have no idea what they're talking about. Sorry to be so harsh.

Roethlisberger was voted the most disliked player that will be playing in the Super Bowl and was voted the fourth most disliked player in the NFL behind Brett Favre, Michael Vick and Tom Brady.

After this Sunday, when Roethlisberger wins his third Super Bowl title in just his seventh year in the league, many will once again be back on the bandwagon. Trust me on that.
I also found this very interesting. The same poll showed that Americans are rooting for the Packers (45% to 39% over the Steelers), but there are big discrepancies along race and party. The findings show that Democrats and non-whites are rooting for the Steelers, while Republicans and whites are pulling for the Packers.

Is it me or are the Steelers becoming more and more hated. Why? Is it because of Ben? Is it because of all the winning and consistency? Have the Steelers become the New York Yankees of the NFL?
