Change Ben Roethlisbeger......Why?

Apparently everyone wants Ben Roethlisbeger to change the way he plays. A lot of the fans and critics are saying that Roethlisbeger should or needs to adjust his playing style for the remainder of his career. My question to that is.....why?

Not that I want Roethlisberger to continue to get pummeled, but why does he have to make the change? Why can't the Steelers build an offense around him like other teams do with their franchise quarterbacks? Why can't the Steelers improve the offensive line instead of throwing scrubs out there every year. Jonathan Scott, Chris Kemoeatu, Willie Colon, Trai Essex, Doug Legurksy, Darnell Stapleton, all scrubs.

The Steeler's offensive line needs stitches and they continue to just put a band-aid on it. They have a $100 million qb with a $5 offensive line. I got more cliches about this if you want just follow me on Twitter.

I retort. Roethlisbeger takes a good bit of sacks but I would only blame about half of them on him and that might be stretching it. Roethlisbeger hardly ever has a clean pocket to throw from and is often eluding defenders as soon as the ball is snapped.

Also, why bitch about a player's strength? How many great plays has Roethlisberger made over the years by his scrambling and improvisational skills over the years? Telling Ben to change his style makes no sense, at all.

Sure eliminating hits would be nice but hey you can upgrade the offensive line and put in more plays that would allow him to get rid of the ball faster. But no, we'll bitch about the team's franchise qb that just made the Pro Bowl on one leg behind the offensive line version of the "misfit toys".......Idiots.

Mike Tomlin Fired Bruce Arians

 

Mike Tomlin has come out and has said that he fired Bruce Arians, not Art Rooney II. Not sure if I personally believe that. I think Mr. Rooney has fully intervened in the Steeler's football operations and made the decision to fire Bruce Arians as Offensive Coordinator.  Conspiracy theorists unite!
