If Jaromir Jagr is Hulk Hogan than consider Max Talbot the Giant. Only wrestling fans might get that reference. Fact is Max Talbot, one of the biggest fan favorites for the Pittsburgh Penguins, has signed with their arch enemy, the Philadelphia Flyers.
Talbot, often considered the game 7 hero of the 08-09 Stanley Cup Finals, has turned his back on the city and fans that embraced him. I find this one worse than the Jagr signing. Jagr is out of his prime. Jagr is only playing for the Flyers for one year. Talbot just signed a 5 year deal worth $9 mil. (Way too much)
Talbot is going to be making 1.8 mil a year in Philadelphia. His former teammate, who he is often compared a lot to, Tyler Kennedy, is making just 1.2 million more a year. Talbot has 50 points the past three years combined. Kennedy had 45 points just last year.
I just hope that the same people that are killing Jagr, are also killing Talbot. Unlike Jagr, Talbot will still be playing in five years, and for the Flyers. As a Pens fan I'll never forgive him. F-him. Have fun in that piece of trash city. Have fun not winning a cup. I hope Brooks Orpik lays your ass out. If Jagr is Judas, then Talbot is Judas Jr. What a little punk.
I want to say this though. I go to a lot of Pens games every year and I promise you that I will be at the first Flyers/Pens game on Dec.29th at the Consol. If you're in attendance you better not cheer for either Jagr and/or Talbot. If you do then your not a real Pens fan. If you still rock Talbot gear and consider yourself a Pens fan, then F-You. Talbot is a trader. He just spit in all Pens' fans faces.
Talbot said his heart is still in Pittsburgh, yeah and so are all the whores you gave V.D. to.

Kind of harsh man. Hope you don't think you'll make any kind of long lasting, professional career out of this if you have such an ignorant and intolerable attitude. Who are you to say someone's not a "real" fan if they still like one of these guys or cheer for them?
ReplyDeleteI agree with above. If Evgeni Malkin signed with philly I might be as frustrated as you are. But it's Max Talbot. He was terrible for the last 2 years. Don't you think you're being a little hypocritical by saying max is "nothing more than a 4th line role player" and then absolutely twigging out that he left? Wheres the freaking out about Mike Rupp leaving? he scored more playoff goals last year than Talbot did. Oh my god he went to philthadelphia our rivals whaa whaa whaa how dare he whaaa whaa whaa any team but them whaa whaa what are we 6? We'll forget about him a week into the season, just like we did Armstrong, Malone, etc.
