Ryan Clark Calls Out Steelers Locker Room: LaMarr Woodley Fat

He was awful," an anonymous Steelers player told Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "He tells us he works out, but we didn't see it. He wasn't in shape. That has to be a reason why he was always hurt." Wow, the truth hurts doesn't it LaMarr? Someone on the Pittsburgh Steelers called Woodley out and I love it. Woodley was out of shape and played terribly last year

Woodley, who signed a huge contract with the Steelers in 2011, the 2nd largest contract in team history by the way, had just four sacks last year. Four sacks that's all. Imagine how many visits to McDonalds he had the past year. Now I usually don't like this whole anonymous player stuff in the media, makes you wonder it the media just made it up in the first place. But wasn't this anonymous stuff about Woodley just what everyone was thinking anyways. He was overweight and played awful last year.

Outspoken safety Ryan Clark, appearing on NFL AM on Monday, said he thinks that it's a result of the Steelers not being as close-knit as they used to be."That shows that this team that is normally close, you had the Joey Porters, the Alan Fanecas, just down the line, leader after leader, this team was close-knit," Clark said. "It shows there is a fracture in that. I think that is the most disappointing thing about that coming out."

Clark didn't even really have a problem with the comment he just wishes it wouldn't have been public, rule number 1: Never rat on your friends! "My biggest problem with that is not LaMarr, or is not someone's feelings about LaMarr," Clark said. "My problem is now it's public. We were talking about the Ravens earlier, we were talking about the brotherhood, we were talking about the family that they were. We all have arguments with our brothers, sisters, cousins, but that stays in-house. What you talk about then stays there and it doesn't get out to the public. So that is the problem." ...

Clark went on to talk about how much better the Ravens locker room is. I think he mentioned that he visited the Ravens again after they won the Super Bowl and how he poured champagne down Ray Lewis' throat, I wonder what Clark would let Ray-Ray shove down his throat.

Fact is Clark just likes to talk and that's fine, he's actually one of the better players on the team. And I'm sure the Steelers locker room isn't a close bunch. Most of the players and some of the fans hate their best player and captain Ben Roethlisberger, that's a problem in itself. I mean how could it not be with guys like Rashard Mendenhall, Mike Wallace, James Harrison, Woodley, and Clark. I mean no egos there right?

Here's how to fix this locker room issue. Get rid of guys like Wallace, Mendenhall, Harrison. Draft better players with true needs like another pass-rusher, a every-down running back, etc.. Then maybe fine players that report to camp out of shape like Casey Hampton and Woodley.
