We had our Fantasy Draft out Buffalo Wild Wings last week. I was drafting 12th and I was worried that I would not get into good position to win the league. I was wrong. My first two selections were Mendenhall and Calvin Johnson. I also was able to get Stevie Johnson, Kenny Britt, Maurice Jones Drew, Vernon Davis, and Matthew Stafford. I was cruising along until I outsmarted myself. I grabbed Peyton Manning. I was positive he would be ready for at least the first month of the season. Wrong. Thanks for the misinformation Indianapolis propaganda machine. Nevertheless I still skull fucked my opponent by 60 points...
O.K I know everybody and their mother has written about this topic, so it’s my turn. My beloved Pittsburgh Steelers got prison raped by the hated Baltimore Ravens. They kind of brought this shit on themselves. Ryan Clark and LaMarr Woodley started talking shit on Flacco for no reason. This is highly uncharacteristic of the Steelers. We have always been a team that does our talking on the field.
Secondly, I believe that we did not match their intensity. This game was essentially, like a playoff game for these guys and their city. We walked into a gunfight with a butter knife. We were not mentally or physically prepared to deal with what Baltimore had to deliver. They were MAD AS F*CK all offseason and probably had dreams of this game all summer. I bet the Steelers weren’t thinking about them as much as much as they were thinking about us. We’ll see them again…
Which brings me to next week’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. As they like to say down South. “We are going to beat the brakes off those boys.” I don’t know the line, but I’m going to bet on the Steelers to win B.I.G. Tavares Jackson should make sure his life insurance policy is up to date…
The Pirates do not deserve to win. You know why? Wait for it... They had the BEST player in baseball and they F-ING traded him. Nobody wants to say it, but we are suffering from the “Curse of Barry Bonds”. The Pirates have had losing seasons ever since we let him go. We let him walk out the door to sign Andy Van Slyke?? Really?? That’s exactly what they deserve. O.K I know the guys was a world class asshole, but guess what, so was Ben Roethlisberger. Greg Lloyd used to wear a shirt that said “They didn’t hire me for my disposition.” Exactly. They hired him to destroy offenses and he did. They hired Barry to destroy baseballs, and he did. If we would have kept him it is conceivable to say that the Pirates would have eventually broke through and won a World Series, similar to how the Chicago Bulls fought many years until they put the right pieces around Michael Jordan…
How in the hell did we sign Troy Polamalu for “only” $36 mil? I think because he is a grounded, invested his money well, and not really a money hungry guy. If he was he could have held us hostage, but dude is just a good guy. Flat Out….
Proof positive of the above paragraph is a brief story I’m about to tell you. I am a little league football coach. I have been for the last 15 years. Our team was practicing for the playoffs in Lawrenceville on Liberty Avenue. That is not our home field, but we were using it because it has lights. In order to access the field you had to park in an alley behind the field and walk up. While we are practicing we see a man and woman walking up from the opposite end zone. As they got closer we realized it was Troy F-ING Polamalu!! And his 8 month pregnant wife. He said he was driving past and saw us practicing and wanted to say hi and wish us luck. Unbelievable. He took a couple pictures with the team and the star struck parents and left. What a great guy…

Sid the Kid is f***ed up for real. I like hockey. I enjoy watching it live as I have season tickets to the Pens. I saw the hits that he took, and they were scary. The dude that hit him did it so perfect as to NOT make it look like a cheap headshot, but it was. We may not see him on the ice for a loooong time. For the record I like Geno, better than Sid because of his puck control and playmaking ability. In addition, he has more of a mean streak…
Nothing would cap off my weekend more than seeing Floyd Mayweather get roughed up a lil bit. I don’t want to see him outright lose because that would ruin the super fight with PacMAn. I am NOT a Mayweather hater. I just don’t like dude, but I respect his hustle. I come from an era when all the best fighters fought each other. This punk wouldn’t even clear out his own division. Paul Williams and Miguel Cotto were welterweight champions and he wouldn’t fight them. He always chose guys that were past their prime. Marquez, DeLa Hoya, Hatton etc. His business acumen is off the charts. I hope all this is a ploy so he can get a $75mil payday for the PacMAn fight…
