Yep this is the guy that was referred to as "The best player in the world" after the series win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. In the video above, Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux delivers a very dirty headshot to Daniel Zubrus of the New Jersey Devils in Game 4.
The hit was dirty. His boyfriend Pierre McGuire, who is openly biased torwards Giroux and the Flyers, can try his best to defend his lover, but there's no defending it. Girioux should be suspended for at least a game, but considering he's the playoffs leading scorer and on a team facing elimination, a suspension is looking unlikely.
Giroux has a meeting with NHL director of player safety Brendan Shanahan today. The fact that a meeting is taking place allows some optimism for a punishment but I would not bet on it.
In fact Giroux seems pretty damn confident that he's not going to get suspended. "I think I should be fine" said Giroux about the suspension. What a prick he is. I do not know if Giroux has a wife or a girlfriend but I hope his teammate Max Talbot sleeps with her and gives her whatever F*cked up diseases that he has.
Giroux wasn't the only member of the Flyers organization doing his part in the hockey world last night. Flyer's broadcaster Chris Therien dropped this bombshell of a tweet:
F the Flyers. F Philly. I hope they never experience winning a cup again.
