Installing a weekly segment here, I will be picking 8college football games and all the NFL games each week. You can try to keep up with me and/or challenge me and my picks. For the season I'm up in both college and NFL so lets see if I can keep it up. I'll also be using the lines from Vegas.com
College-
#1 Alabama (-7) at South Carolina. Alabama's favored by a touchdown and for good reasons. The Tide easily have the most talented team in the country led by Heisman winner Mark Ingram who, since returning from injury has been very good. South Carolina has a good team but there's no way they cover the spread here.
Pick Alabama -7
2. Ohio State (-22.5) vs. Indiana. Ohio State returns home after back to back home games. The spread here is huge, I know. But the Buckeyes have have the fire-power to cover. Indiana has a good offense and can score points but they haven't faced the kind of talent that they will face in Columbus. Indiana's defense is also horrid.
Pick Ohio State -22.5
3. Oregon(-35) vs. Washington State. Oregon's offense is unreal. Washington State is not a very good team. This game won't be close. I'm saying 56-13.
Pick Oregon -35
Ok lets go to some tougher games
Michigan(-4) vs. Michigan State. Two undefeated rivals playing each other. Can't wait to watch this one. This game is going to be huge for Heisman contender Denard Robinson's chances for the Heisman. This will be the best defense that he will so far. The smart pick would be for the over but I'm not doing that here. I'm leaning towards Michigan but I think it will be close.
Pick Michigan -4
Florida (-6.5) vs. LSU . LSU is undefeated, however none of their wins are very impressive. Florida got their buts kicked at Alabama last week. Even though Florida is 5-1 against the spread in their last 6 home games, I'm not scared. 6.5 is too much for me.
Pick: LSU +6.5
Notre Dame (-6) vs. Pittsburgh. I know Tino Sunseri sucks. I've heard it a billion times. But what has Notre Dame done to be favored by almost a touchdown against a team with a better record? Give me the hometown Panthers at Notre Dame.
Pick: Pitt + 6
Stanford (-9.5) vs. USC. I picked Stanford over Oregon and they were winning at halftime til all hell broke loose. Last year Stanford beat USC 55-21. I'm not sure if it will be that lopsided but I do like Stanford big in this game.
Pick: Stanford -9.5
Miami (-6) vs. Florida State. I really hate Miami. Not as a pick, I just hate them. I"m hoping this is a good game. 6 points seems a little high considering that these games are usually close. If Florida State can force Jacory Harris to throw some picks they could even win.
Pick: Florida State +6
Those are my 8 free picks for this weekend. See if you can beat me in them or if you just agree. Either way enjoy the football
