412 sportstalk's Sweet 16 Picks by Emily Mallon

The Sweet Sixteen kicks off tonight. By the end of the weekend, we'll have our Final Four. Here are my picks for games being played on Thursday:



#2 San Diego State vs #3 Connecticut 7:15 CBS - UConn will be too strong for SDSU. Unless SDSU shoots lights out, expect the Huskies to advance to the Elite 8



#2 Florida vs #3 BYU 7:27pm TBS - Gators have a tough inside game and guards that can score, but BYU has the Player of the Year. Jimmer and crew will beat the Gators in a close one.



#1 Duke vs #5 Arizona 9:45pm CBS - Arizona has a great player in Derrick Williams but Duke is too strong. Duke wins it.



#4 Wisconsin vs #8 Butler 9:57pm TBS - Butler should win this one. They have more experience and scorers. But the players will be exhausted from crushing Pitt's dreams, so Wisconsin takes it and moves on. The refs don't give Howard the benefit of the doubt on flopping and he fouls out. Hail to Pitt!
