Congrats to Mark Recchi

How can you not cheer for Mark Recchi?! The guy is a class act, played hockey at a high-level, and was always a good leader and teammate. He was a PIttsburgh Penguin (three times), Philadelphia Flyer (twice), Montreal Canadien, Carolina Hurricane, Atlanta Thrasher, Tampa Bay Lightning and BostonBruin. And now 43-year-old Mark Recchi leaves the ice a three-time Stanely Cup champion.

I'm not going to lie, I"m surprised as hell that Recchi registered eight points in the Stanley Cup Final. At 43-years-old that's not expected. After the Bruins won, Recchi confirmed his retirement after the game.

Recchi won his third cup with a third different team. He won the cup as a Penguin in 1991, and with the Hurricanes in 2006.

Recchi has played 1,652 regular season games with 577 goals and 956 assists.Wednesday was his 189th career playoff game. He has collected an additional 61 goals and 86 assists in the NHL post-season.

Recchi scored at least 10 goals for 21 seasons and exits the game ranked fourth in all-time games played and 12th in career points. He was also the 30th player to record 1,000 points and 1,000 penalty minutes.

Again Recchi is a class act and a shoein for the hockey Hall of Fame. What a career Mark!
