#Jagrwatch : Jagr to the Flyers. Say it isn't so!
So if Jaromir Jagr wasn't going to sign with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who would be the one team you wouldn't want him to go to. Uh.....Maybe the Philadelphia Flyers? Ding Ding Ding1 Well yesterday I heard from Mark Madden and Tim Benz on the "Mark Madden Show" that Jaromir Jagr could possibly be considering the Philadelphia Flyers as a possible suitor. Well today that horrible rumor came true. Jagr is a Flyer. As a Pittsburgh Penguin fan and a Jaromir Jagr fan this has crushed my soul.
Picturing Jagr as Flyer makes me puke until my guts came up. It makes me want to start a riot Vancouver style. Too Soon? What the hell is Jagr thinking? Why would he do that? This is the ultimate double cross. Jagr has just become the biggest villain in Pittsburgh sports history.
Not only did Jagr tease the city of Pittsburgh and all of their fans, he just took a big shit on all of us. What a douche move. Signing with the Flyers is one of the biggest crosses of all-time in any sport. It might actually be a bigger cross than when Hulk Hogan turned into Hollywood Hogan and joined the NWO.
Ok maybe not bigger than Hogan turning heel, but you get my drift. I really can't believe Jagr just did this. Now I have to eat crow. Now I have to listen to all the Jagr bashers and critics bask in the glory of being right. As a Jagr fan I'm appauled. As a Penguin fan I feel like my ex-girlfriend just banged my arch enemy, filmed it, and sent the video to me.
Earlier today I wished Jagr the best. Now I hope he stinks next year. I hope he gets killed by all of the Philly fans. Of course I'm writing this based off of emotion but this one hurts. At the same time, 3.3 million is a little too much. The Flyers still don't have a better chance of winning the cup next year than the Pens. I hope the Pens smash the Flyers when they play. I hope Brooks Orpik F's Jagr up. I'll say this though, #Jagrwatch has been one hell of a ride.
Damn I can't wait until hockey season.
