Yeah I know it's Shark Week, it's cool but excuse me if I'm not excited about it. For those of you that don't know, I'm a huge movie buff. My favorite genre of film is the crime/gangster genre. AMC is having it's "Mob Week" this week, showcasing a week full of the most popular and critically acclaimed mobster films of all-time.
I really did my list based on personal preference, but did take into account acting, story, dialogue, and originality. There are so many great ganster films so I'm sure no one will agree with my list but it's my blog and I wanted to do this. Feel free to post your lists at the bottom. I went with 15 films, here they are:

Pittsburgh Pirates: Has the Ship Sunk?
The Pirates incredible season has vastly set sails into a head-on collision. It all starting in Philadelphia, when the Pirates pitching, which has been supurb all year, was burtally hammered. The team looks tired, unfocused and well basically, "those same ole' Bucs".
There is one move though, I believe could turn this current losing streak around. It all begins with the starting pitching. The work load for Kevin Corriea and James MacDonald has been alot, Corriea has almost already equaled his number of innings he pitched all season last year. Corriea's numbers are showing it. Since June Corriea's ERA has progressively gotten worse, in July his ERA was 6.08.
What I say needs to happen is you have to sit down Kevin Corriea. Week in and week out this guy gets harder to watch. He leaves pitches REPEATLY up and over the middle of the plate. I'm suprised this guy had the first half All-Star season he had. He may have gone against the odds for the first three months, but for the past two months its plain as day, you must sit him.
So what I suggest is make Corriea the "long-reliever" out of the bullpen and go to a six man rotation, bringing up Brad Lincoln and Ross Olendorf, who will come off the DL within 10 days. Brad Lincoln has earned the right to be given another shot at the rotation and the Pirates have more of a meaningful future with Ross Olendorf. Going to a six man rotation will refresh Karstens, Maholm, Morton and McDonald and will allow you to see what you have in Lincoln and Olendorf.

Emmanuel Sanders Out 3 Weeks. Steelers Could Pickup Another Reciever.
It's official, Pittsburgh Steeler's second year receiver Emmanuel Sanders will miss the remainder of training camp after another procedure was done on his foot. Sanders is reportedly on crutches right now and Ed Bouchette said that Sanders played in the Super Bowl with a broken foot.
But his right foot was broken in the Super Bowl and he wound up having surgery to repair breaks in both feet. The most recent surgery, on his left foot, was done 12-13 weeks ago. He reported to camp and ran the first day and practiced the second but began having problems with his foot.
He described the procedure that was done on his left foot on Monday in which bone marrow was removed through his heel and then injected in his foot to speed the recovery.- Ed Bouchette
\Sanders is now expected miss the remainder of training camp, which will be a huge set back for him. Sanders was expected to get first team reps with Hines Ward sitting out with a thumb injury. Sanders, who caught 28 passes last year in his rookie campaign, was expected to take another big step this year as the Steelers number three receiver.
Perhaps the Steelers knew that this was going to happen to Sanders. Perhaps that's why the pursued Plaxico Burress.Now the Steelers all of sudden seem thin at the receiver position. Mike Wallace is a superstar but Sanders is still young and now injured, Hines Ward is getting older and older, and Antonio Brown is only going into his second year.
Brown will be the team's No. 2 receiver in the meantime, which could be big for him. Lots and lots of reps and playing time in preseason. Brown had arguably the biggest catch of the year last year for the Steelers in the playoff win over Baltimore. Brown is talented but still lacks experience. Will he be ready?
Another wild-card is Limas Sweed. Sweed has had emotional problems off the field and well problems catching the ball on the field. Sweed does have a pedigree and the skillset needed to succeed in the NFL, but has yet to put it all together. Preseason will be his chance to shine and prove that he can be the 'tall receiever" the Steelers want and need.
If the Steelers don't feel comfortable with Sweed and Brown just yet, look for them to sign a veteran reciever. Derrick Mason, Malcolm Floyd, and TJ Houshmanzadeh are all free-agents. Mason would make the most sense. Mason makes the most sense to me. Durable veteran, great route-runner, and is sure handed. Mason and Ward could work all the underneath stuff while Wallace and Brown go deep, could be deadly.
If the Steelers do choose to pickup antoher receiever, I hope to God that they don't bring back Antwann Randle-El for a third time. All the recievers I mentioned are better than Randle-El.
Hey maybe the Steelers can convince Randy Moss to come out of retirement. Moss, Wallace, and Ward, how's that sound Steeler Nation?

Are the Pittsburgh Pirates About to Fizzle Out?
I'm starting to get that sinking feeling again. I don't know if it's because of the fashion that the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Pirates in Philly this past weekend, but if the Bucs' recent four-game skid has shown us anything, it's that this team is still against a significant uphill battle the rest of the season.
At 54-53 and now 5.5 games behind the first place Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central, any hopes of contending for a division title are beginning to fade away.
Ben Roethlisberger Restructures Deal To Help Steelers
Ben Roethlisberger is the real leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He plays through injuries, allegations and criticism from his own teammates and fans.
All he's ever done since becoming starting quarterback in Pittsburgh is win. Win, win and win some more. He's played in four AFC Championship games, winning three of them. He's played in three Super Bowls, winning two of them. Just win baby win.
Roethlisberger, coming off a year in which he had very good stats and took the Steelers to a Super Bowl, has found a way to help the team and franchise once again. The highest paid player on the team has decided to restructure his contract so that the Steelers can be in a better financial situation when it comes to the salary cap.
Restructuring Roethlisberger's contract is a win-win for both Roethlisberger and the Steelers. Roethlisberger gets more money up front and more bonus money, and the Steelers save money this year when it comes to the cap.
The deal did not add years to the contract but did spread more money out throughout it. Roethlisberger also recently wore his now former teammate Max Stark's old jersey number in practice in order to honor Starks. Roethlisberger considers Starks a good friend. Starks was cut by the Steelers last Friday in order to get under the salary cap.
I wonder if anyone will have anything negative to say about Big Ben now? He's married, he's been playing good football, he's in shape, he organized and ran unofficial team workouts during the lockout and now he takes a pay cut. What a guy! What a leader!
Funny thing is if this were Tony Romo, Michael Vick, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and/or Peyton Manning, it would have been huge news in the mainstream media. That's fine, Roethlisberger doesn't care. All he's worried about is winning.
James Harrison, Brett Keisel and Chris Kemoeatu have also agreed to restructure their contracts to help the Steelers.
