Day after Super Bowl a Holiday?

Written by : Andrew Callender

No matter who you are, or who is playing in the Super Bowl, you will watch the game. And if you’re like me, you enjoy a couple of adult beverages during the game. Then the most dreaded part of the game, the moment you realize you work in the morning. How great would it be if they made the day after the Super Bowl a national holiday?

It sounds great, and it should happen. The Workforce Institute at Kronos Inc. conducted a survey online via Harris Interactive. The findings are astonishing. 1.5 million adults (estimated) will call off work on Monday. Another 4.4 may arrive late to work.

This is a fantastic reason to make the next day a holiday. It’s amazing that this hasn’t happened yet. I mean Roger Goodell thinks so highly of himself you would think he would love to get the NFL brand more money by making it the name of a holiday.

I mean come on, what’s one more holiday to us? Of course the issue is we do enjoy a holiday adult beverage. But we’ll tackle that issue once we get the holiday approved.
