The Shot Heard Round the World
Not only did Brent Johnson save all 20 shots that he faced against the New York Islanders on Wednesday night, he absoulutley knocked Islanders' goalie Rick Dipietro the F*** out!
Technically Johnson will not get credit for the shutout as he was ejected from the game with 16.5 seconds left, but in reality it should count.
Tyler Kennedy, Chris Kunitz and Max Talbot scored for Pittsburgh, which has won four consecutive and seven of eight. The Penguins shut out the Islanders at home for the second time in nine days.
Also, how about the Penguins improving to 4-1 without captain Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin?
Congrats to fan favorite Max Talbot who scored his 50th career goal and his 100th career point. Somewhere someone is really happy about this.
