Recap of the Sidney Crosby Press Conference

If I were to give you the basic rundown of the Sidney Crosby press conference it would consist of Ferraris,Christmas, and that Crosby's not going to retire. 
The word retirement should not be applied with Crosby. We all new one reporter would ask him "Have you considered that you might never play again?". Crosby's nostrels flaired and he answered "I wouldn't bet on it".  The Canadian press, who seem to be very anti-Sid, as they were very anti-Mario Lemieux, continued to ask the same question through various wordings.  "Sid have you thought about retiring?". "NO". "Are you sure?".  "Yes". "Yes, you thought about it?".  "No" 5 minutes later....."Sid are you retiring?"

Crosby was never going to retire. Crosby's the kind of guy that would at least try to play a few times before everyone shut him down. Crosby's life revolves around hockey. He's the best player in the world and no one works harder than him. 

That being said the Pittsburgh Penguins are handling this the right way. Right now Crosby says he's at 89%, not 90. He's not going to play until he's 100% and we already new that. Crosby also said that he's most likely going to play this upcoming season. 

A couple things to think about: 

• As a Pens fan, I've learned more about arena deals, bankruptcy, and concussions that I ever though or ever wanted to know. 
• Crosby is a Ferrari at Dr. Collins makes that a scientific fact. 
• Since Crosby's a Ferrari, Ovechkin is a good vehicle that's the least reliable when you need him to, therefore he's a Ford. 
• If Crosby's a Ferrari, that makes Mark Madden a Port Authority bus. 
• Dr. Collins also said that Crosby will have no residual effects when he's 100%. 
• There is still no timetable for Crosby's return, but I'm guessing it's after the All-Star break. 
• Sidney Crosby loathes Rob Rossi. 
• The doctors called today Christmas, which confused the hell out of everybody. 
•  Something was said about "making sure the cows are back in the barn" and then it ended.

In closing, I still can't believe that David Steckel has never been punished or criticized for his hit on Crosby. It was a dirty play. Had that been Matt Cooke, he would have been banned from the NHL.
