Per Cerrato, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has torn an Achilles tendon and is reportedly out for the entire 2012 NFL season. Whammy. That is a huge blow for the Baltimore Ravens. T-Sizzle, Suggs, is the reigning NFL defensive player of the year.
This news actually had me confused, because I had just watched Forrest Gump this past weekend and I could have sworn that Suggs died in Forrest's arms in Vietnam.
Suggs has tormented Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers since he's been in the league. Last year Suggs had 3 sacks and an interception in two victories over the Steelers. Suggs, has always been one player that I wouldn't mind on the Steelers. In fact he would be perfect for them.
What a relief it must be for the Steelers and the rest of the AFC North to hear this news. Roethlisberger is always under constant pressure from Suggs. Just like Gump said, "That's just one less thing to worry about."
Given the Steelers upgrade on the offensive line and the news of Suggs being out, things are starting to look a lot better for the Steelers.
