Pittsburgh Steelers Should Be In The Playoffs
Yes the Pittsburgh Steelers started 0-4. Yes that's the main reason why they're not in the playoffs. I think any rational person understands that.
However, the fact they finished 8-8 and only needed one team to lose to get into the playoffs. Another fact is that said team should have lost. The NFL is issuing apologies and admitting that the Chargers shouldn't have won the game, at least the way that they did.

Steeles Will Lose Draft Pick Over Tomlin Incident.
Jason La Canfora has reported that, the Pittsburgh Steelers will in fact end up losing draft pick in the 2014 NFL draft for the Mike Tomlin-sideline incident. La Canfora said that it will most likely be a late-round pick probably a fifth rounder.
It will definitely be interesting to see what this does for the public perception of Tomlin in Pittsburgh. My thoughts on this are; the $100,000 fine was deserving and I thought Tomlin should have been suspended, but I don't think the team should be punished with a draft pick. Bullshit in my opinion.

Mike Tomlin Cheating on his wife?
Is Mike Tomlin cheating on his wife with "Ugly white women" at seven springs?
Pics and this text from TheDirty.com
THE DIRTY ARMY: Nik, not only is Steelers coordinator Todd Haley’s wife a swinger who texts nude pics, but Head Coach Mike Tomlin and the rest of his staff are known to be man wh*res at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. All of the coaches have condos up there and Tomlin is known by locals to have an affinity for white women. He’s routinely seen by locals in the offseason at the resort and at local dive bars picking up women and taking them home. Most of the women are hideous!

Unreal. Mike Tomlin has zero control on his football team, the team that is on pace to be one of the worst Steelers' teams in recent history. Players speaking out, coaches drinking hours before a game, and now this. When will Tomlin be held accountable if ever?

A little perspective on the Pittsburgh Steelers
A little perspective
We're 0-3, or Owen Three as the bad knock-knock jokers of our generation have deemed us. To some fan bases this is the norm, I'm sure they don't like it, but it's not an uncharted territory for them.
We however are steelers fans, we don't win the conference championship every year, but we must remind you that we've won 15 of them (and incase you forgot that's an NFL record). We don't win the Super Bowl every year, but we've won 6, and sure we've lost 2, but that's more than a lot of teams have even been to. (FYI the 6 Lombardi's are an NFL record too)
So how could a fan base whose fan base has won so much be jumping off bridges in droves? How dare we complain about 0-3 when when we have such a winning history? The answer is easy, we're winners, and when you're a winner losing is unnaceptable.
I can remember 1998 and 99 when we went 7-9 and 6-10 respectively. It was darker times. I'm sure if twitter existed it would have been a lot worse, but I can remember multiple trips into the "Steelers suck" AOL chat room to defend our honor.
As dark as those days were, we bounced back with 9-7 and 13-3 the next 2 years then the dumpster fire that was 2002 happened. I still have nightmares about the Jets game in week 15 that year. As you all know though we drafted some Roethlisberger kid the next year, and the rest is history.
Whether it be 98-99, 2003, or even last years 8-8 campaign, it never felt like we weren't good enough, it always just felt like bad luck. This year though feels different though. While we have had a few spots of bad luck, this team just feels different, almost inferior.
That, I believe, is why to paraphrase my boss, "yinzers are yinzing". Sure we still have big ticket players, but anyone who knows football knows that to win, your 2nd and 3rd tier talents have to be legit. So when our 3rd best CB is named William Gay, you have some issues.
Bottom line is this this team isn't very good as constructed, we need to add big talent in big areas. This team isn't coached very well, and lastly the players haven't played very well. All this adds up to disaster for the fans sporting the black and gold. There is however light at the end of the tunnel, as they've proven before, the steelers don't stay down long. So hold on to that, and hope that trend continues.
As always I welcome your feed back, good bad or indifferent. One thing I don't want is dick pics (you know who you are) I am @Brumistheshow on twitter. Thank you

Steelers, Pool, and Ping-Pong.
One of the dumbest fucking stories you will ever hear about a professional football happened today, and unfortunately for yinzer nation, it involved the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veterans and captains of the Steelers held a player's only meeting today and made a decision about the locker room. They came to a stern decision that only players that have been in the league four years or longer can play pool or ping-pong during business hours.
After a disappointing and embarrassing 0-2 start, this team and season is going up in flames. Injuries, players fighting with coaches, and now this.

Jerome Bettis : "Give Ben Control"
Very rarely do I agree with Jerome Bettis but he actually gave pretty insightful analysis about his former team on SportsCenter. Bettis said that the Pittsburgh Steelers need to blow up the offense and give Ben Roethlisberger more control. It's not a new take on what the Steelers should do on offense, a lot of people including myself have shared that same opinion for years now.
Fact: The Steelers are extremely predictable right now on offense. They can't run the ball, at all. The Steelers offensive line also sucks. So basically, every defense is going to crowd the line of scrimmage and blitz Ben and the Steelers more than 50% of the time. One way to combat that would be to use the no-huddle even more. Now, it doesn't have to be a hurry-up offense, just a no-huddle, with the Steelers' best player, Ben Roethlisberger in control.
For those that are still defending Todd Haley and his playcalling, the only two Steelers offensive touchdowns this year are via the no-huddle with Ben calling the plays.

Recap- 9/16 Steelers vs. Bengals "The shit show is getting old"
There are football fans and there are Steelers fans, there is in fact a distinct difference. This is in no way an attempt to bash either side of the coin, that's not who I am. A Steelers fan is blindly loyal, and I absolutely love that, the passion the city of Pittsburgh shows towards the Steelers is, in my opinion, unparalleled.
Being a football fan doesn't mean you can't be loyal, you can, and there is nothing wrong with it. However, a small sect of people have the ability to be a fan, yet still remain critical of the Steelers. A lot of people don't like this particular type of fan. I do, "cuz I are one".
It may seem like I hate the Steelers at times, I don't, my house is a testament to that, you can't walk 5 steps without finding something black and gold. I can say I'm not overly happy with the way the team is being ran. Monday night made this abundantly clear.
