Plaxico back to the NFL?

Over the past few days, rumors have circulated about former Steelers wide receiver, Plaxico Burress returning to the NFL.


Yes, you read correctly.

It’s crazy how one minute; this man is scoring the winning touchdown in one of the greatest super bowls ever played, and the next, he’s in a courtroom facing gun charges.

Now because of the fact that this guy started his career in the Steel City, I’ve always been a big fan. I even jumped up in down back in 07 when he scored the winning touchdown against the Patriots. That being said, I think that Burress’s success will depend on how bad he wants it.


Plax has always had the talent and athleticism to develop into a hall of famer. After he left Pittsburgh back in 04, I rarely watched him play. However, during his time with Steelers, he was either making a big play, or quitting. My point being that if Plexico puts effort into returning, and avoids complaining to the press routinely, then he his more than capable of finishing his NFL career as a solid receiver.
